- Developed to support our Bank of America cards program, the brighterplanet.com carbon profiler allows users to track their carbon footprints on an ongoing basis
The profiler combines both footprint and offsets into a "impact progress bar," the first of its kind
A holistic approach
We created this web app to help individuals manage all three aspects of their carbon footprint: measurement, conservation, and offsetting. To this end we developed automatic tracking of offsets earned with Brighter Planet Visa cards, a large user-generated library of conservation tips, and the most sophisticated and complete consumer carbon calculator available.
Taking carbon social added a new layer of motivation and complexity
Going social
Leveraging our experience in social media and Web 2.0, we outfitted the platform with user profiles, interactive features, news feeds, crowd-sourced content generation, and Twitter and Facebook integration to create an engaging user experience.
Brighter Planet worked with world-renowned web firm Happy Cog to develop the user interface
